A French Art Deco Ivory Figure of a Female Nude, c. 1925, carved with arms stretched above her head standing on a circular plinth inscribed "Joe Descomps" for Joseph Jules Emmanuel Cormier (French, 1869-1950), mounted to an onyx dish incised under base "Made in France", overall height 6 3/4 in., bowl diameter 4 3/8 in Provenance: Acquired c. 1920s-1930s; thence by descent in the family of Madelyn Cohn Cahn Conne Kiam Kreisler (b. 1890, New Orleans - d. 1975, New York).
