Par./ Franciere à Courcelles Epayelle 1888", modeled with articulated arms, metal hat visor and brass-tack buttons, height 25 1/2 in., width 9 3/4 in., depth 7 1/2 in. Provenance: A Private Collection, Florida; indicated as depicting a Haitian figure, probably a ship's purser Note: Courcelles-Epayelle is a village in the Picard region of northern France.
