An Architectonic French Carved Mahogany Fireplace Surround, late 19th c., in the Beaux Arts taste, the superstructure with step molded cornice, paneled frieze centered by a lozenge, central oil on board by Valere Bernard (French, 1860-1936), "Woman Amid Fruiting Grape Vine", signed lower right, within an arch amid floral relief panels; the mantel with stepped shelf, frieze fitted with two Jules Loebnitz, (Paris, active 1836-1895) ceramic figural tiles (stamped en verso), columnar uprights on plinth bases, overall height 107 in., width 62 3/4 in., depth 12 1/8 in.; opening 30 1/2 in. x 34 3/4 in.
