Irmtayt, 119 5th Avenue, Ny, 20in. x 20in. E2500-3500 Note: Dr. Paul Bremond 1770-1859 was court physician to Napoleon I and a cousin of the Empress Josephine. His great-granddaughter, Alice Bremond Gerson Chase, was the wife of renowned American artist William Merritt Chase This portrait passed from Mrs. Chase to her daughter, Dorothy Bremond Chase, and then to her daughter, Dorothy Chase Haggerty. The present owner acquired the portrait, family tree, and the American table lot 628 from Mrs. Haggerty.
