[General Pakenham Autograph, cut signature framed with a hand-colored engraving of the "Death of Pakenham at the Battle of New Orleans". E800-1200 Note: Major General Sir Edward Packenham did not support the War of 1812. Nonetheless, on January 8, 1815, he found himself leading the British forces against General Andrew Jackson's troops. Cut down by sharpshooters, his last words were, "Lost for the lack of courage."
