George Louis Viavant (American/Louisiana, 1872-1924), "Nature Morte: Green Wing Teal", watercolor on paper, posthumously inscribed "G.L. Viavant, N.O." lower left, sight 21 1/4 in. x 13 1/2 in., framed Provenance: A Memphis, Tennessee, estate. Note: The inscription on this painting is identical to that on a nature morte of a snipe owned by the Viavant family and the final work resting on the easel in the artist's studio inscribed, "Unfinished time of sudden death - 1925, unsigned Viavant" Reference: George Jordan, George L.
