Note: Influenced by 19th century Louisiana landscape painters such as Alexander John Drysdale, George Rodrigue¹s earliest paintings include the trees and landscapes of his native Iberia Parish. The oak tree was a predominant subject in Rodrigue¹s paintings of the early 1970s, as he began to define ³Cajun Art².
