Two George VI Limed Oak and Velvet Coronation Chairs, c. 1937, one North & Sons and the other Hands & Sons, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England; embroidered with the Royal cypher of George VI, "GR" under a crown, both branded by the maker and dated Note: George VI, son of George V, was crowned upon the abdication of his older brother Edward VIII. These chairs, made for the Coronation service at Westminster Abbey in 1937, would have been available for purchase by special guests.
