Archer, Rochester, New York, retailed by John Jelliff & Company, Newark, New Jersey, marked, incurvate seat, columnar standard, cabriole legs with Classical female masks, lion's mask feet, height 19 1/2 in., width 14 3/8 in., depth 14 in. Note: The underside of seat is stamped with retailer's mark and seat plate is cast with maker's mark and patent date of May 3, 1873
