Georges L. Schreiber (Belgian/American, 1904-1977), "Louisiana Cotton Pickers", watercolor on paper, pencil-signed lower right, 12 1/8 in. x 16 1/8 in., framed Note: Born in Belgium, Georges Schreiber studied at the Berlin Academy of Fine Art and in London. In the 1920s, Schreiber worked as a free-lance artist for German newspapers, a line of work he would continue upon his arrival in America.
