A Pair of Classical Gilt Lacquered Bronze Three-Light Figural Girandoles, mid-19th c., candlecups on scrolled acanthus arms, figural standard with round plinth, ending in weighted square base, hung with prisms, height 23 1/4 in., width 14 in., depth 6 in Note: The figure depicted closely resembles a standard identified as No. 412 in the 1850 H.N. Hooper & Co. Catalogue. The same figure is seen on French and English candelabra which indicates the connection between American and European manufacturers and the customers they were supplying.
