- Notes: Note: The Yorkshire born and Oxford educated Wallace was a painter, illustrator, author, and a renowned naturalist. He was a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Fellow of the London Zoological Society, and the Deer Controller for Scotland. He exhibited his predominantly landscape scenes at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and at the Royal Institute of Painters.
