Henry Robinson Hall (English, active 1875-1902), "Highland Cattle, Loch Lomond, N.B.", oil on canvas, signed lower left, titled and signed en verso, 24 1/8 in. x 16 1/8 in., in an attractive period cove-molded, carved, gessoed and giltwood frame.
- Notes: Note: Hall was a popular painter known for his images of Highland cattle. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and was a member of the North British Academy of Arts. The "NB" after the title stands for North Britain; in the 19th c. this was a notation frequently used for addresses in Scotland. Reference: ancestry.com
