A Regency Carved Mahogany Desk, early 19th c., Holland & Sons, stamped, locks marked "Chubb's Patent/57 St Paul's CH YD/London/Makers to Her Majesty", case with Monarch stamp "G" and Prince of Wales Plumes, slant top opening to void interior, a single drawer below, lion's masque ring pulls, each side with a drop leaf, turned and reeded uprights joined by a stretcher shelf, height 37 1/2 in., width 36 1/4 in., depth 25 in Note: Originally founded in 1803, Holland and Sons was among the largest and most successful furniture making companies of its time. The firm's primary client was the Royal Family; they were the lead supplier of furnishings for Osborne House, Sandringham, Balmoral and Windsor Castle.
