- Notes: Note: This work relates closely to the painting "Opposing Forces" in the collection of the New Orleans Museum of Art. Both works date to 1958 and are of the same size and medium. Compositionally similar, both paintings employ large blocks of contrasting color and vertical forms to create tension in the picture plane.
