John Bachman, published by Victor Gifford Audubon, 1856, New York, third edition, 3 volumes, octavo (plates 10 1/2 x 7 1/8 in.), original publisher's brown morocco, elaborately blind-stamped lettering and foliate panels within double fillets to sides, spines tooled in blind with raised bands and gilt lettering, all edges gilt, with 155 hand-colored lithographic plates. 

Provenance: Collection of Former Governor Murphy J. "Mike" Foster Jr., Oaklawn Manor, Franklin, LA.

  • Condition: Bindings have been restored (see note) and in very good condition with only very minor abrasions; text and plates are toned and spotted throughout, however, no tears; some ownership signatures to endpapers.
