Doyle Ford wasa noted Southern portraitist who maintained studios in Memphis, Tn., New York, and Jacksonville, Fl. She was a protege of Howard Chandler Christie, a colleague of Alphaeus Cole, Ivan Olinsky, and Gertrude Fosdick, and a member of the National Arts Club of New York, Audubon of New York, and New York Pen and Brush. The paintings offered here represent some of the artist's favorites, from her personal collection. They have never before been shown publicly.
