A Large New Orleans Coin Silver Goblet, Christoph Christian Kuchler, New Orleans, wc. 1852-1870, c. 1855; marked "C. KUCHLER" in rectangle above "NEW ORLEANS" in rectangle on bottom of bowl; upper portion of seamed bowl with repousse chased grapevine and forming a reserve with wrigglework engraved "A. WAX"; chased band of leaves form a calyx encircling lower portion of bowl, carved oak leaf band applied at juncture of bowl and pedestal base, repousse grapevine on base above applied oak leaf banded foot, height 7 in., diameter 4 1/2 in., weight 10.45 troy ozs Reference: Crescent City Silver, p. 35.
