Lord Fairfax's Ceremonial Page of Honor Uniform, 1911, by H. HUNTSMAN & Son, ALBERMARLE ST., including a short sword with straight 21 in. fullered blade etched with foliate decoration and GR cypher, hounds' head quillons, ivory grip, horse's head pommel; a blue cloth knee-length coat with crimson velvet gauntlet cuffs and pocket flaps, cream silk shoulder knot, silver lace edging and laced loops on front, plated buttons bearing twin crests, one of them being that of the Earls of Chesterfield; a white silk waistcoat with similar edging and buttons on loops of silver Russia braid; a pair of white Melton cloth knee-breeches with ornate white metal buckles; a black tricorne hat with silver lace loop and black ostrich feather edging; two pairs of white stockings; all contained in a black wooden box inscribed FAIRFAX. Note: 8 buttons missing. Note: At the Coronation of King George V on June 22, 1911, the procession inside the Abbey included the Earl of Chesterfield (as Lord Steward) walking next to Earl Spencer (as Lord Chamberlain of the Household), each attended by his page, that of Lord Chesterfield being Ferdinand Fairfax, who wore this livery.
