[Mardi Gras], Cenilla Bower Alexander (American/New Orleans, 1865-1966), five costume designs, all from "Posthumous Float, No. 6", including "Lucius (Roman General)", "Posthumous", "Druid Priest", "Philario", and "Jachimo", all watercolor on paper, unsigned, pencil-titled, and titled and inscribed with costume's details en verso, 9 1/2 in. x 7 1/2 in., unframed. ?

- Notes: Note: Mrs. Alexander studied at the New York School of Art. Her first documented Carnival works were watercolor costume plates for the Krewe of Nereus in 1897. Her work is rare: only two sets of her designs for Rex are known to have survived.
