[Mardi Gras], Louis Elizabeth Andrews Fischer (Alabama/Louisiana, 1901-1974, active Newcomb College, 1917-1921), a group of nine New Orleans Krewe of Proteus parade float designs from "Our Storybook of the Sea", 1971, including "Sinbad", "Twenty Thousand Leagues", "Peter Pan", "Jason", "The Mermaids", "Black Beard", "Eric Old Bogle", "Oz", and "Treasure Island", watercolor and mixed media on paper, all bearing the artist's label and most pencil-titled lower right, 14 in. x 16 5/8 in., unframed.
