[Mardi Gras], hand-written notes for 1953 Rex Charles C. Crawford's Ceremonial Toast to New Orleans Mayor Delesseps Morrison at Gallier Hall on Mardi Gras Day, written on two "Syntax Parade Throws" order cards, reading in part "I Rex descended from my Palace in Arabia... Hon. Mayor Morrison may your Rule Be Blessed with Continuous Peace & Prosperity..." Note: The Syntax card indicates "Parade throws are available to be boxed and delivered on floats. All beads $3.50 per gross. Assorted $2.50 per gross." Provenance: Estate of Charles C. Crawford, 1315 First Street, New Orleans, 1978.
