E1000-1500 Note: African-American artist Marvin "Chico" Posey, Jr.'s love of jazz music permeated his colorful and lively paintings. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Posey studied in Tennessee at Austin Peay State University. Tragically, he died of a heart attack at the age of 37.
