Note: The proportions, flat cornice and distinctive drawer configuration on this secretary is very similar to that on a secretary attributed to the Albany New York partnership of John Meads and William Alvord (active 1824-1835) and conserved by the Baltimore Museum of Art (acc.1989.616).
