Note: One of the most popular and successful miniature artists of his day, Daffinger received his initial training from his father who was a painter at the Imperial Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Vienna. He later studied under Friedrich Heinrich Fuger (German, 1751-1818) at the Viennese Academy of Art.
