Provenance: Descended in the family of the artist Provenance: Descended in the family of the arist. Note: In preperation for a planned etching, Morris Henry Hobbs rendered a series of sensitive pencil drawings of a woman he met during his first visit to New Orleans. A similar drawring by Hobbs is conserved by the Historic New Orleans Collection (acc. 2008).
