In this delightful landscape, Leader painted the hillside in full color during springtime when it is covered with bluebonnets. Studying in New York City and at the Art Institute of Chicago, Leader continued his training with Texas artists Edna Collins, Peter Hohnstedt and Harry De Young. A prominent member of the local art community, he exhibited with the Austin, Texas Fine Arts Association, Witte Museum, San Antonio, Elizabeth Ney Museum, Austin, Texas Artists Circuit Exhibition and San Antonio Local Artists Exhibition.
