Myra Zimmerman Barnes (American/New Orleans, mid-20th century.), 'Le Vieux Carre de la Nouvelle Orleans', watercolor and ink, signed and dated '1940' lower left, pencil inscribed 'To Rae and Cope, Remembering the Words of Encouragement, 19.5 in. x 28 in., unframed. Accompanied a current poster reproduction of the map. E2000-3000 Note Harris 'Cope' Copenhaver was the president of the New Orleans Credit Bureau in the 1930s. Reproductions of this map have been for sale in various New Orleans museums and shops.
