A Rare Natchez Coin Silver Ladle, Robert Haughton, act. Natchez c. 1819-1829, marked "R.Haughton" in conforming cartouche flanked by downturned fiddle typt handle, pointed shoulders and a molded drop, script monogram "HR" on obverse, length 13 7/8 in., weight 5.95 troy ozs. Note: Haughton silver is exceedingly rare. At the time of the 1970 Natchez silver exhibit there were only two known examples, both ladles. Reference: Nineteenth Century Natchez-Made Silver
