- Literature: Reference: Borenstein, Larry and Bill Russell, Preservation Hall Portraits: Paintings by Noel Rockmore, Louisiana State University Press, Baton Rouge, 1968.
- Notes: Note: The Humphrey brothers, Percy on trumpet and his brother Willie on clarinet, were from a family of talented musicians. They both became well known and played at numerous local clubs. After World War II, both brothers joined the Eureka Brass Band, with Percy serving as the leader. When Preservation Hall opened in 1961, the Eureka Brass Band, with their distinctive musical style, soon became part of the nightly line up.
