Pair of French 1st Standard Silver-Mounted Glass Claret Jugs, Robert Linzeler (1872-1941), Paris, Piault-Linzeler, wc. 1897-1926, mounts retain traces of gilt wash, h. 11 5/8 in Note: Robert Linzeler's mark was registered in 1897. The firm Piault-Linzeler was the successor to Jules Piault, silversmith to Napoleon III. Linzeler's own work was also recognized, notably with gold medals at the Paris World's Fair of 1900.
