Description:

A Pair of Chinese Huanghuali Stools, probably Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), each square mat seat set within a square frame above a cushion molded apron, raised on turned legs wrapped on the exterior by turned stretchers supporting pairs of vertical struts on each of the four sides, height 21 1/4 in., width 19 1/2 in., depth 19 1/2 in. Provenance: Indicated with Prince Aixinjueluo Pujun, son of Prince Duan Aixinjueluo Zaiyi (1856-1922), and briefly heir to the Tongzhi throne; thence by descent in the Aixinjueluo Collection.
