A Pair of Chinese Longquan Celadon Yen Yen Vases, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), baluster bodies rising from short, slightly tapering feet, to tall cylindrical necks broadening to wide trumpet mouths, the necks and bodies freely carved with large peony sprays between bands of concentric rings, scroll design and upright petal lappets, each covered overall in a rich olive green glaze pooling toward an unglazed foot ring burnt red in the firing, heights 22 1/4 in. Note: Restoration to one mouth
