E3000-5000 Note: As a young man, Paul Ninas traveled extensively throughout America and Europe. While studying at the Beaux Arts Academy in Paris, Ninas became acquainted with Gertrude Stein and had an exhibition of his paintings sponsored by famed dancer Isadora Duncan. After owning a West Indies coconut plantation, Ninas moved permanently to New Orleans in 1932, where he became a leading member of the local art community and proponent of modernism. In this charming painting, Ninas praises the virtues of his devoted group of art collectors and patrons.
