- Notes: Note: The close-up view of an American freighter, the "Moline Victory" lately arrived presumably from England (as evidenced by the crate recently off-loaded), is treated by this consummate master of the quotidienne life of the New York boroughs and their rivers with much more than usually intense color. The relatively saturated tones of the masts, hull, river and cargo show Marsh as an artist not merely of animated line, but also of early modern colorist effect
