A Large Collection of Royal Invitations and Photographs from Bahrain, 1932-1940, including 10 pieces of correspondence from the Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who ruled Bahrain from 1932-1942 and his wife to Mr. J.T. Dean and his wife to attend dinners, teas and other social events during the period 1936 -1939; and a group of photographs of the Sheikh taken at the opening of the Bahrain Petroleum Company, 1935; family photos of trips taken by the Dean family in the Middle East. Mr. Dean probably worked for either BAPCO or the Standard Oil Company of California.
