A Restauration Gilt Bronze-Mounted Mahogany Commode, early 19th c., Paris, stamped "GOMIEN" for Sigisbert Gomien, marble top, case with three graduated long drawers flanked by pilasters, plinth base, block feet, height 35 in., width 51 in., depth 24 1/2 in Note: In 1824, Sigisbert Gomien established a cabinetmaking workshop at 193 Rue Saint-Antoine. He was active at 18 Rue des Tournelles from 1827-1842.
