An English Gilt Lacquered Brass and Bronze Sinumbra Lamp, c. 1834, Thomas Clutton Salt, Birmingham, marked, atop fanciful standard with a dragon, cut and etched glass shade, overall height 32 1/4 in Note: The dragon coiled around the standard of this lamp relates to that of the monumental gasolier produced by Perry & Co. for the Banqueting Room at Brighton Pavilion. Brighton was remodeled by John Nash, from 1815-1823, for George, Prince Regent, later George IV.
