The Mary Townsend Derby Queen Anne Carved Walnut Blockfront Lowboy, mid-18th c., probably Salem, Massachusetts, rectangular molded top above a long drawer and three lower drawers, on cabriole legs ending in pad feet, later brasses, missing the pendant finials; affixed to the lower inside backboards is a family note by George McClellan Derbydescribing the lowboy as belonging to his grandmother (see detail illustration), height 29.75in., length 34.5in, width 20.5in..
