E1800-2200 Note: In 1939, when this photograph was made, Fonville was working as a photographer for the Louisiana state government. The State Capitol in Baton Rouge, prominently featured in the view, was proposed by Huey P. Long in his 1928 campaign for Governor and completed in 1932. In 1935, Long was assassinated there.
