Two American Renaissance Gilt Incised Rosewood Armchairs with Gilt Bronze Mounts, mid 19th c., probably A & H LeJambre, Philadelphia, the gentleman's chair with a tufted back with c-scrolled stiles, incurvate arms and a horseshoe seat flanked by colonettes, on trumpet legs ending in casters, the lady's chair en suite, gentleman's chair height 57 in., lady's chair height 32in E1200-1800 Note: A walnut armchair made by A and H Lejambre, nearly identical to the gentleman's chair featured above is in the Rathborne collection and illustrated in Strickland, Peter 'Furniture by the Lejambre family of Philadelphia.'
