Two Chinese Carved Hardstone Quartz Snuff Bottles, probably late 19th/early 20th c., one carved of milky, translucent quartz with dark brown inclusions, of flattened bulbous form with a flat lip and a recessed foot, topped with a mottled milky white and dark brown stopper, height 2 3/4 in.; the other carved of a smoky quartz with darker brown inclusions, of flattened form with a recessed foot and relief mask-ring handles below the shoulders, lacking stopper, approx. height 2 1/4 in.
