Two Choctaw Utility Baskets, one of palmetto (Sabal Minor) stem splints, with red-dyed splints on the verticals, fair condition, 1940 note: losses and holes, contemporary applied finish, height 4 .75in. width 13 .75in., depth 13 in., the second basket of river cane ( Arundinaria sp.) and palmetto (Sabal Minor), a single chain-link band of red splints in the vertical position, good condition, 1960, height 6.25in., width 12 in., depth 11 3-8 in.
