Two Fine Engraved Uberti Reproduction Colt Pistols with Tiffany Grips, 20th c., comprising: a Model 1851 Navy 36 cal., top of barrel marked "Navy Arms Co. Ridgefield N.J. Made in Italy"; the side "Black Powder Only, Made in Italy" with Uberti logo; serial #53265, with gold-plated plunger, trigger and hammer, the barrel with engraved Naval battle scene, elaborate Tiffany-style silverplate grips; the other pistol a Model 1861 36 cal., serial #46155, same markings and grip, without goldplate, presented in custom glass and wood case. Provenance: These guns were originally given as a gift to actor John Wayne by the Uberti Company in the 1970s. They were sold from the estate of his son Michael Wayne, head of John Wayne Enterprises. Accompanied by a copy of a letter from noted dealer Walter C. Earl, attesting to this Provenance"
