Two French Painted "Ivory" and Gilt Metal Boxes in the Rococo Taste, late 19th Century the larger square with lobed corners and having a square miniature portrait on top, the other oval with a round miniature, both showing court ladies and set on salmon moire grounds, the larger 6 in. x 6 in., and marked by retailer B. Altman, the sides of each box encircled by bands of leaves, ribbons and classical moldings.
