Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797-1858), "Ohashi, Atake no yudachi (A Sudden Shower over Ohashi at Atake)", from the series Meisho Edo hyakkei (One Hundred Famous Views in Edo), travelers caught in a heavy downpour hurry across the Ohashi (great bridge), signed lower left, titled upper right, Uo-ya Eikichi publisher's seal lower right margin; censor's aratame (approved) seal and date seal: snake IX [1857] upper right margin, sight 14 in. x 9 1/2 in., attractively matted and framed.
