McKnight, former Director of the Brooks Memorial Art Gallery (today the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art) Note: As part of his efforts for the Works Progress Administration (WPA), Walter Anderson proposed a mural for the Court House in Jackson, Mississippi. A cartoon for the mural is conserved the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The mural project was not completed.
