The War of 1812 Watercolor Drawings and Logbooks of Horatio Nelson Head, two folio volumes (12 in. x 7 3/4 in.), each bound in leather with gilt lettering and tooling, with inset vellum panels on front and rear covers, the spines titled 'LOG' and the front covers 'LACEDAEMONIAN'; each consisting of approximately 140 pages of entries, the first log covering the period 17 March 1813 to18 July 1814 with 12 watercolor drawings tipped in; the second log for 19 July 1814 to 15 September 1815 with 4 watercolor drawings tipped in. Note: Spine of first volume split with loose binding.
