A West Indies Carved Mahogany Serving Table, early 19th c., probably Jamaica, scrolled backsplash centering shell, shelf flanked by scrolled side panels, rectangular molded top over conforming plain frieze, ring-turned legs, height 57 1/2 in., width 42 3/8 in., depth 22 in Note: The turnings of the legs and scrolled outline of the backsplash and side panels of this lot relate to similar elements found on an early 19th century English West Indian sideboard made in Jamaica, illustrated in Michael Connors, Caribbean Elegance, (2002), p. 34.
