CALHOUN TY." in rectangle, incuse, paneled octagonal form with scroll handle, beaded lip, flared foot with applied molding, engraved "Allison Woods Campbell" in script, h. 4 1/8 in., wt. 3.15 troy ozs. Ref.: Mark illustrated in Benjamin Caldwell's Tennessee Silver, p. 49, fig. 47a. Note: Allison Woods Campbell (1848-1850) was the daughter of Jane Eliza Porter (1807-1849) and John William Campbell (1799-1874) of Jackson, Tennessee. Her elder brother was Confederate Brigadier General Alexander William Campbell (1828-1893).
